Uni footprints in SABAH @ Day 1

Time flies and here comes the final year of my unilife.
So, we have decided to make use of our one week long sembreak to create some precious memory in current life chapter. And the destination we chose is Sabah- Borneo Island in Malaysia.
Basically, I think our trip is kind of budget one. And this is a 4 days 3 nights trip. There is 7 of us throughout the whole trip.
We've bought our two ways ticket during the airasia promo period which cost us for RM 260. (You might able to find a cheaper one though.)
Alright, know what? We thought to get a short escape from the hot weather in Penang, who knows Sabah is having hazy weather that the scorching smell really irritates alot. So unlucky.

The very first thing i like about this trip is the accommodation, not only the place is strategic but the hygiene is really good. We stayed in Marina Court Resort in Kota Kinabalu Town and did our booking through called in. It's only 6 min away from the airport. The guy is nice as the price can be negotiated cause we are visiting during off-peak period. What a privilege of having uni holiday.
Price offered- RM260 per night (RM270 of deposit is made.)
Contact person- Scott Chow ( 012-832 8102)

View of the loading bay.

The spacious living room with comfy furnishings.

The master bedroom with a city view.

The double bedroom.

Note that the housekeeping service is provided daily to keep your space real clean. That's what make me so satisfied with i when back to our apartment after a tiring day.

And cause Sabah is kinda a big one, so renting car is needed as the public transport is not that convenient. We rented a seven-seated car, namely Alza.
Rental fees: RM 170 per day
Contact person: 016-802 0208 (P/S: I dont have the person's name)
And sadly, we met a reckless driver on our way heading to Tanjung Aru in a T-junction, who queue at the wrong lane but went straight without any signal. So our car got hurt a little but the person just hit and run. Luckily the car host dint really request us to compensate, but we still paid him a little as apologizing fee.

During the first day, we touched down to KK town at lunch time after almost 3 hours flight. We directly got the rented car at the airport and headed to Fatt Kee Seafood Restaurant. They serve  anything regarding to fish.
It's weekday lunch hour, but still quite lot of people and
could hardly find a parking space.

The normal fish beehun.

The tomyam flavor.

The tomyam added with milk.

Though you can see many bloggers or instagrammers recommending this, for me the tomyam flavor taste not bad but overall is abit of too pricey. The drink there charged RM 2.50 for only an ice barley. LOL.
First station checked!

After checking in, we headed to Tanjung Aru to grab awesome sunset view. The Avocado juice there is highly recommended. And it taste quite nice if you pick the right stall (it's not located by the beach.) Usually closed on Monday, but we dint know that until we were there. Haha. Still, we get the chance to try it as there was friends took away for us while visiting us on 3rd day of trip.
Price: RM 16 (Large)/ RM8 (Regular)

I still able to catch the egg yolk in my love.

The sun went down finally.

Ah huh, after having so much fun by the beach, its time to grab some food to fill the empty stomach. So the next stop would definitely be seafood. So, we went to this 'Welcome Seafood Restaurant'.
There is two branch. And one is actually near to where we stay.

It's just a typical Monday. But you see the crowd!

And you can see the seafood all tagged with price. If you are not a pro eater, you can just order through the menu aside. As you able to know the amount and the price of the food you order through there. Over ordering will be causing food waste and we dont want that to happen too.

The dragon prawn is dancing on the weighing scale.

This is what it has turned into at the end. So pity.

Of course we didnt order the dragon prawn as i mentioned at first this trip is kind of budget one. haha. But the food here really suit my appetite and strike my satisfaction. Especially the clam soup! OMG! Basically we ordered salted egg yolk crab, asam curry fish fillet, signature fried sotong, butter milk prawn, clam soup and one fried vege. Guess what? With the amount to fill up 7pax, they only cost us for RM 177.80! Where to get such reasonable and cheap yet tasty seafood on this earth? And here we got it. I am drooling while writing right now.
Tadaa! The six dishes!

Nom nom nom. She curi makan while the food havnt really
completely served.

That salted egg yolk crab.

To avoid those food from fattening us, we took a walk in IMAGO shopping mall, nothing special there except the air cond. Haha.
Wrap up for day 1.
